Episode 52 --- The Big 50 Show - Part C

The final piece of the 50th Episode Trilogy Extravaganza begins with an introduction by the lovely Gigi Edgley (Chiana on Farscape).

We begin the festivities with the booty brought back by Glenn from Wonderfest. A dvd of The Host, Jet Jaguar, of Godzilla vs Megalon, figure, a Guyver Zoanoid, Deadly Hands of Kung Fu comic magazines, and Vampirella magazines.

Geek and tell continues with Brad's expansion of the PodCulture
Studios bookshelves with new hardcover Runaways books (thanks to Scott!) , Buffy Bad Bargain and The Deathless books, and a Doctor Who novel called Price of Paradise. We find a great deal on Lego Star Wars II for the 360, another Supernatural comic, and a swanky Green Lantern keychain from The Great Escape. Fear not! Our dvd shelves were not to be left out! Brad's picked up Cowboy Bebop and Steamboy on UMD, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and thanks to the KickAss Mystic Ninjas, we're now in posession of The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai. Given the future hero theme, we speculate on the remake of Flash Gordon.

Geek Cuisine comes full circle this week, commemorating the first Geek Cuisine, as we enjoy a Triple Chocolate Big Kit Kat bar.

PodCulture turns fifty!! Get out your party hats, and get ready to cut the cake as PodCulture celebrates its half a century mark!

We begin the shindig with an intro by Robert Picardo of Star Trek fame. Next, you may have noticed our brand spankin' new theme song graciously written especially for us by Beatnik Turtle and their Song of the Day.

Glenn has been to Wonderfest, and is looking forward to Adventure Con where he hopes to meet one of the Pirates of the Caribbean actors as well as dear Ron Glass of Firefly & Serenity. Stay tuned to our next episodes to hear what swanky stuff he's brought back.

Christina and Brad have been trying to catch up with Supernatural, Brad watches the missing episode of Drive, and Christina is still hooked on Webkinz.

SPOILER SEGMENT! Brad and Christina kick Glenn out for a spoiler segment with discussion of the season finales of Heroes, Veronica Mars, Smallville, and Lost. If you have not seen these finales yet (what are you waiting for?!), and don't wish to be spoiled, skip from the time duration 11:25 to 36 minutes into the file.

Brad interviews the author JC Hutchins about his podio novel, "7th Son", as part of J.C.'s 50 podcasts in 50 states promotion.

Episode 49 --- The Nifty Before Fifty

This week we find the geeksome threesome on the cusp of their 50th episode!

Glenn is making headway with his Dangerman boxed set, has picked up 4400 season 3, looks forward to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and Wonderfest here in Louisville. All that, but the siren song of World of Warcraft still beckons.

Christina grimaces at the news that there is a Sims movie in the works, and Brad's been burning a hole in his Marvel Ultimate Alliance game disc. Glenn put aside his Alliance game for Ghost Recon and Halo 2.

Geek Cuisine is a Raspberries & Cream Hershey bar.

To keep Glenn spoiler-free, Brad and Christina kick him out of the studio while they discuss the power of three, both Series 3 of Doctor Who, and the 3 episodes of Drive. The most recent Who episode, "Human Nature" based on the novel by Paul Cornell has Christina noting the performance of Thomas Sangster formerly seen in Love Actually, and Brad loves the appearance of Richard Brooks on Drive. They allude to a more in depth discussion of this months season(and series) finales, and look forward to catching up with Supernatural -both the show and comic.

Glenn returns, happy in the fact that he's picked up the Adventures of Superman on dvd, and liken the technology to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Christina looks forward to Monster Squad being released as a 20th Anniversary set.

Brad and Christina talk about "42" of Doctor Who, and then Christina and Glenn geek about Zoolander. Brad introduces our new PodCulture Forums , and we lie SGL to rest for now.

There is no Guilty Pleasure this week, but fear ye not, the next episode will require three times the penance!

Hey gang....just wanted to let yall know that with the big episode 50 coming soon there will be some big changes to the PodCulture forums.

The PodCulture forums will be spinning off into their own little corner of the cyber-verse over at http://forums.podculture.net We will be cross-posting at the original forums over at www.Bluegrassbrowncoats.net for awhile as a transition period. We really want to thank Adam (aka Casivona) for all the work he's done in setting up the original forums for us and allowing PodCulture to hang out here while we were first getting started in the podcasting world.

The changes will really be effective when Episode 50 is put out, however if you want to get an early start in the new forums, head over to http://forums.podculture.net and check them out! There is also a link for the NEW forums here on the main PodCulture page. (left hand column about half-way down the page)

Episode 48 --- The House That Geek Built - Part B

After ratings month, Glenn returns to us with news that he's still watching Lost, and the trio anticipate the season finale, and contemplate the series end. Will it come to an annoying end like Dallas or The Newhart Show? Is it better to have a finite end, or be in limbo like Babylon 5? Noting Lost actors in other roles, we mention Brick and Pulse.

Glenn has picked up Pan's Labyrinth and The Fountain, and we look forward to his reviews. That is if any of his free time remains after World of Warcraft and Wonderfest.

Our geek toy segment has Randy from Geekshow.us reprising his role as Glenn, and talking about the new Transformers Movie swag. Christina shares the story of Brad bested by the Optimus preview figure, and gleams over the JLA and Flash shirts she found at Wal-Mart.

Christina and Brad thank the guys and gals from the Geekshow universe for a fabulous weekend, and encourage our listeners to check us out in our guest spot on Geekshow's 50th episode.

Brad and Christina happily welcome Randy from GeekShow.us who was gracious enough to play Glenn's understudy this week!

We open with what's tickled our TV fancy this week. Randy gives us alternate insight into Heroes, and hypothesize on next season. We welcome the news that DOA is finally going to have a US release, and ruminate on the last few episodes of Doctor Who. Have we seen too much of the Daleks? To our Whovian friends, do you have a favorite Doctor Who villain?

Continuing with TV talk, we share our thoughts on Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Raines, and Veronica Mars. Are we done with Mars Investigations? From Supernatural to Superman, we cover the Winchester brothers, and Smallville. The ghosts of shows past and future make an appearance as we discuss Nathan Fillion's short-lived Drive, and Summer Glau's soon-released Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The boys await the Transformers movie with a healthy mixture of trepidation and glee, and discuss Beast Wars along with the new Transformers toys.

Geek Cuisine this time around is the English Nestle Drifter bar.Thumbs up all around!

Sorry for the delay in show notes. Christina had a craptastic week of doctor (sadly not THE Doctor) visits, and she wasn't at her notes-writing best.
Kindly stepping into Glenn's working shoes this week is Indiana Jim from the Things Are Looking Up podcast.

Jim shares his insight into Star Wars, and we talk about how George Lucas should (or shouldn't have) changed his movies. Discussing the evolution of special effects, we weigh the question of whether or not it benefits the movie, and serves the die-hard fans, to update effects in film. We debate the importance and placement of some of the more annoying characters in the Star Wars films, such as Jar Jar, and the Ewoks. Can knowing the backstory of a character such as Darth Vader change how we feel about them? Christina and Brad bring up Wicked by Gregory Maguire, and how the sympathy we fostered for The Wicked Witch has forever changed how we view The Wizard of Oz.

Guilty Pleasures this week comes from Glenn's Sirens of Cinema magazine in the form of Hundra. The She-Ra to Conan's He-Man, it's a titan clashing good time.

Geek Cuisine freezes our taste buds with Hot Tamales Ice.

Episode 45 --- More Than Meets the Ear - Part A

Welcome back to Geekland! We start this episode with Glenn's lamentation about not being able to see the Spiderman 3 premiere because of the Kentucky Derby, and Christina has spent her birthday recovering from a pulled wisdom tooth.

Never fear, the fun returns as our trusty dvd players have been working overtime this week. Glenn's still watching Dangerman and Lost, and we discuss the action figures. He's bought Smokin' Aces, Deja Vu, and Night At The Museum, sparking a difference of opinions about Ben Stiller's talent. Christina mentions the sci-fi epic, Supervolcano. Brad and Christina have been watching Heroes, Doctor Who, and the Stargates. We discuss the annoyance of the breaks between shows like Battlestar Galactica and Torchwood, and Painkiller Jane is next to watch. Finishing up Justice League Unlimited sparks talk about the Aquaman pilot on the XBox 360, as well as the "Justice" episode of Smallville, and David Ogden Stiers playing Martian Manhunter in an ill-planned movie. Speaking of ill-planned, the trio agree that the casting of Matt Damon as Green Arrow in the in-the-works "Super Max". Matt Damon's movies Dogma, the Bourne trilogy, and Good Will Hunting get called to the stand. To complete the WTF factor this week, we say hello and goodbye to the Fox series, Drive, and despite the fabulousness of Annie Lennox and Josh Groban, question the sanity of the American Idol Empire. Christina gives a brief review of Paolo Nutini's new cd.

In our game worlds this week, we come up against Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the XBox 360, Ghost Recon, and Halo 2 maps newly available. Brad and Christina introduce Webkinz as their current favorite time spender, and Glenn's enjoying the interactivity of the Spiderman 3
site.

Strap on your sweet tooth, and get ready for the post-Easter Geek Cuisine. We enjoy Cadbury's Orange Cream Eggs, Cadbury's Dark Chocolate Mini Eggs, and Vanilla Cream Hershey Kisses.

Prepare for your penance as this week's show opens with Glenn's Guilty Pleasures! This time it's District B-13, written by Luc Besson, of Fifth Element fame. The battle between subtitles and dubbing wages on! Which do you prefer? Reading subtitles and watching a film in its native language, or hearing dubbing actors "interpret" a script?

New toys are abundant this week! Thanks to Browncoat Tabz (of the Fantabzulous and Strangely Literal podcasts), the boys have cool superhero and World of Warcraft toys. Not to be left out, Christina receives a cd from Adam Bush's band Common Rotation, and enough chocolate to make the Easter Bunny jealous. Thanks, also, to Mark "Jayhawk" for The Runaway Bride and Tom Baker's Sci-Fi Quiz dvds, as well as episodes of Daybreak and Primeval. Thanks so much to the both of you!

Toy talk continues with Brad's new Spider Spud, iRiver, and Motorola phone tools kit. Brad and Christina christen their new dvd rack with Batman Beyond season 3, Justice League season 2, Jackie Chan Miracles, Teen Titans:Trouble in Tokyo, and Leroy & Stitch. Not to be called couch potatoes, they also picked up books including Jim Butcher's Dresden novels Storm Front and Fool Moon, Scott Sigler's Ancestor, the final novel in the Left Behind series, Kingdom Come, and the heartbreaking Velveteen Rabbit. Brad gives Christina an autographed photo of Mary McDonnell, and picks up the new Trace Adkins cd. Glenn's bought The Protector, the newest in the Mon-Sieur Bome collection of figures (this time it's Kasumi of DoA fame), and discusses the loss of his decade-long pony tail, donated to Locks of Love, while Shane shows off his new pick.

In closing, we look forward to the remake of Barbarella by De Laurentis, and the Supernatural:Origins comic. Christina is even more excited than usual by the recently aired episode of Doctor Who, which filmed in Shakespeare's Globe.

We begin with our week in geek with what we've been up to. Glenn's finally watching Lost, more Dangerman and, to Shane's happiness, the first season of 24. We discuss Keifer (once a vampire), and Donald (once a Watcher) Sutherland. Glenn's playing Ghost Recon-Advanced Warfighter 2, while Chrisitna is addicted to the simplistic Chicken Invaders 2 on MSN.com.

Brad weaves the epic tale of the ill-timed death of the Culture Cruiser's battery, and Shane mourns the illness of his brand new HD television, and the horror from Buy.com

Our DVD players overfloweth this week. Glenn's watching Children of Men, Lost, and Dangerman, while pining for the Space 1999 set. Brad and Christina talk (spoiler free) about the series finale of Stargate: SG-1. The three discuss Casnio Royale, both pro and con, and even about the James Bond comic by Mike Grell. We cover Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond, and the awesomeness of John Glover's voice.

On a similar note, we discuss the new "remake" genre with TMNT, as well as the upcoming Astroboy and Gatchaman movies. Believe it or not, Christina has a flashback to her childhood adoration of The Greatest American Hero. Did you have a show you watched when you were young? After a silent week in respect for the passing of our friend and fellow podcaster, Joe Murphy, The Culture Crew returns to pay one more tribute.

A very special Geek Cuisine incorporates two of Joe's favorite sources of sugar. We've got four varieties of root beer: Thomas Kemper, Hank's, Stewarts, and Abita. Combine those with the fantastic Australian Violet Crumble candy bar, and you can practically hear our teeth ache!

Christina is horrified by the Ghost Rider action figures, and Brad gets a smile out of the Marvel Super Hero Squad Punisher/Ghost Rider pack.

Geek Cuisine this week is a case of curiosity killing the appetite, as our guests, Ashlee and Todd, request the...um..."experience" of the Jones Soda holiday extravaganza of a few months back. Want to know what exactly Ashlee did for a dollar? Listen, and find out!

Glenn gets us into the post-apocalyptic guilt of Zardoz for this installment of Guilty Pleasures. We discuss the work of Sean Connery, and John Boorman of Excalibur and Deliverance fame. Glenn likens the film to the novel Dancers At The End Of Time by Michael Moorcock, and leaves us with the riddle of the origin of Zardoz title.

Episode 40 --- From Here To Bear - Part A

It's a gaggle of geeks this week, as the PodCulture crew welcomes their guests, Todd and Ashlee, into the studio!

The crew begins regaling their seeing Ghostbusters this week with fellow podcasters, Scott (of Two Geeks, a Mic and a Podcast), Tabitha, and Randy (from Geekshow.us). All are excited about the summer lineup of Midnights at the Baxter, which includes such cult classics as They Live, Robocop, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Ashlee joins in, discussing a webcomic she's been following, called Drawn By Pain.

Glenn supports our dvd-watchers across the pond with his newly-purchased Danger Man, and The Prisoner DVD sets. Brad and Christina have picked up Veggie Tales: Moe and The Big Exit, the second season of Stargate Atlantis (oddly, with much commentary by SG-1 star GaryJones), Casino Royale, and the precariously packaged Sliders: Season 1 & 2. Glenn's happy with his new Guyver 3 dvd, while Brad & Christina are struggling to catch up with their usual fare of The Class, How I Met Your Mother, and Battlestar Galactica, and are counting down the days until Doctor Who returns. Ashlee finds quality content in abundance on the internet, and mentions Red vs. Blue as a favorite. We entreat our fans to guilt Glenn into watching Heroes, now that he's FINALLY catching up with Lost. Todd discusses some of the popular castaways. Karen from Kalifornia gets a giggle out of Glenn with her submission "You Know You've Been Playing World of Warcraft Too Much When..."

Toy Talk is a special one! The PO Box had Glenn's name written all over it this week with Action Figure News & Toy Review, and Sentai magazines from listener Mike, both featuring Guyver. Brad picked up a classic Battlestar Galactica ship at Wal-Mart, and shows off his new Razr phone, while Christina adds two new Build A Bears to the count.

Brad goes on to tug at our childhood heartstrings with the epic hunt for his long lost bears, that after thirty years, with a little help from Christina, and the magic of Ebay, has a very happy ending. Episode 39 --- Monkey Monkey Fritos - Part B

We start off this week's episode by getting our guilty on with Glenn's Guilty Pleasures. Inspired by Zero Woman, Glenn sends the WTF factor through the roof with Beautiful Hunter. They discuss the appeal of kickass women while Brad and Christina encourage him to buy the 3rd series of Angel in order to appreciate Amy Acker.

Christina received the Official Visual Companion of Firefly Volume 1, and Wicked: The Grimmerie, and she got Brad Stargate SG-1: The Ultimate Visual Guide, and a subscription to Playboy. Chicken soup for Brad's soul this week came in the form of DC's Showcase Green Lantern volume 2, and the Green Lantern Corps HeroClix set. The trio discuss the marketing tactics of World of Warcraft, while Brad and Christina talk about Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Wii.

The ultimate new toy this week, however, is Brad's new mixer!

As the show attempts to close, the trio discusses remakes and sequels. They note the classic Willy Wonka versus Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as Johnny Depp's performance inspiration past, present, and future. Christina discusses her apprehension for the Tim Burton's film adatptation of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The conversation turns to mysteriously-present-during-murder characters such as Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher from Murder She Wrote, and Sam and Dean of Supernatural. Continuing, they speak about War Games, The Producers, and the "new groovy" series Rules of Engagement.

Finallly, they wrap up the week with the upcoming Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the soon-to-be released second season of Justice League Unlimited.

Glenn opens up the evening with his review of Ghost Rider, comparing the movie adaptation to that of another comic blockbuster, Fantastic Four. Glenn also adds to his dvd collection with Ultraman, Series 1 volume 2, the Hellboy Collector Set, the third series of Millennium, Invincible Iron Man, and talks of Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, as well as the Doctor Strange preview.

The tube makes boobs of us all this week, as we gush about our favorite shows. We discuss (and differ) about Jewel Staite on Stargate Atlantis (SPOILER WARNING). Glenn enjoys the budding Chiller TV, showing a marathon of Friday the 13th The Series. As always, Lost, Battlestar Gallactica, The Class, and How I Met Your Mother get a mention. Brad and Christina are giddy with Whovian joy for the past episode of Heroes, and easily see Hayden Panettiere, as a recast of Buffy, in our fantasy universes. Okay, so I may not have been the cause of his illness...this time. Having only just gotten over his respiratory infection, Brad is sicker than River on Miranda tonight. I'm taking the liberty of letting you all know the next episode will be another day in coming. Anyone who knows him knows if he's too sick to get on the internet himself, it must be bad. I could edit the show myself, but...yeah, we all know what a train wreck that would be.

So watch something weird, play something addictive, read something cool, and be prepared to share with the class next time. Until then, send him good thoughts and wishes that whatever evil bug he's got goes as quickly as it came.

Just got word that Baxter Avenue Theater is going to be showing Serenity as their "Splodin' Summer Series". Schedule is for midnight Saturday the 26th of August. Unfortunately, this is a for-profit venture, not something that's going to Equality Now or anything. But still... might be something that would encourage them to show it again sometime for a fundraiser if we could fill their theater that evening.

I was just "Wingin' It".......

OK I wanted to let you guys know that this past weekend I was asked to fill in as co-host for the podcast Wingin' It. The Ranting Scotsman, Ian, headed up a crazy crew along with Karen from Kalifornia, and Chris from Two Girls and a Podcast were in on the fun with me as we filled in for Mike and Evo. Christina even got in on the act too a bit as she was our no-so-silent audience. Since we got together via Skype to record the audio is a little rough, but we had a blast and were honored that the guys let us fill in for them while they were off doing other things. What I am lookig for is something akin to a combination of the following two websites: Bluegrass Browncoats and Wingin' It . If anyone know of anything PLEASE let me know OK? I really want to make the PodCulture site interesting and a place we could all have some fun with.

Episode 16: Brought To You By The Numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

This time the show starts off with the gang discussing the cowardess that is an anonymous email. Glenn chats about the computer game Guild Wars: Factions and that, of course, he is STILL addicted to World of Warcraft.

Brad, Christina, and Glenn get into discussing some of their recent DVDs purchases and watching habits. Among them are: Lost: Season 2, 16 Blocks, Nightstalker, Lois and Clark: Season 3, the various Superman movies, Krypto, Doctor Who (the 1996 movie), Christina takes over from Brad and rants about what happened during a recent episode of the new Doctor Who TV series.

The gang comes back from a break ready for a snack. This time Geek Cuisine focuses on a couple of things: Hank's Rootbeer, Virgil's Rootbeer, and Violet Crumbles.

After getting all sugared up, Brad and Glenn geek a little bit about some comic books they have purchased. (both new and old) Wonder Woman, Civil War, The Flash, Batman, S.H.I.E.L.D, The Superman Returns prequels , Watchmen, Batman/Superman, 52, New Avengers, Astonishing X-Men, the Angel Scriptbooks, Justice, Judge Dredd, 2000 A.D. and Warlord, are among the many books discussed.

Then we discuss favorite episodes, favorite doctors and companions as well as compare the classic series to the new series currently airing.

Recording news, notes, and THANKS!

OK gang....I just wanted to take a quick moment or two away from editing Episode 15 to fill you in on a couple of things.

Starting with Episode 15 we will shoot for releasing the new episodes on a Monday or Tuesday night rather than the Saturday or Sunday nights we have done in the past. Since we record the show every other week, this move will effectively give me an extra weekend to edit and "tweak" the show a bit more.

And on that note......

The audio quality for Episode 15 will be a bit rough in some places. We recorded the show in a slightly different location that our other shows, and we tried a few experiments during the recording process as well. Some things turned out OK, some other things.......well not so much. Please bear with us, even with the rough patches, we think you'll really like what we have on tap for you!

Also one last thing before I'm a total jerk and forget to say something: a THANK YOU. Goes out to the folk who sent us in audio comments, and recordings for the show....it's folk like you who keep us doing what we do.

Episode 13: The Geekaholic Sugar Rush

The wacky folks here at PodCulture Central start off the night with a bang! (or at least the sound of a bottle being opened) The drinks are flowing as the gang chats about upcoming conventions such as Wonderfest and Motorcity Comicon. Brad rants about Insight Cable Service, Glenn plugs his model kits of Ace of Diamonds and Bloodlust over at the Ace of Diamonds website. The chatter continues with talk about LOST on DVD, a recent trip to Steak and Shake, Mike's Hard Crisp Apple (one of Brad's favs).

After the break it's time for Geek Cuisine. This time the sugar rush is provided by Junior Mints Inside Outs, and as usual the verdict is quite the tasty! Glenn continues talking about cons and some guests at the upcoming Motor City Comicon: Yvonne Craig, Adam West, Burt Ward, Lee Meriweather and John Wesley Shipp.

They just heard back from Universal and we are a go for a June 22nd 7pm showing! Kicker is: it's $1400 we need to raise for this. We're still working out the details on the money collection, but we figure at 7 bucks a pop, we'd need 200-ish people. I know you have good connections with the SOBs, do you know if they are doing anything of the sort for Serenity day (June 23rd)? If not, I wanted to extend an invitation to them for this. Episode 12: Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizzacast

With their bellies full of pizza, the PodCulture crew get an early start with episode 12!

A HUGE thank you goes out to Adam (admin for BluegrassBrowncoats.net) and Stuart Duncan. They were both kind enough to design cool logos for the PodCulture website.

Glenn discusses the uses and neat stuff he has discovered about his new Pocket PC, and his latest treasures from Ebay. A request is sent out for more logo submissions to be used as iTunes art. The gang talks about toys from their childhoods like Ultraman, Sir Galaxy, Transformers, and Yoda. The first part of the show wraps with Christina sharing a story about going to see the movie The Cell, and getting the crap scared out of her by a Yoda doll afterwards.

After the break Glenn thanks The Doctor from the BluegrassBrowcoats site and Two Geeks, a Mic, and a Podcast for letting us know about the release date for the Ultraman disc set. Glenn also shares an interesting Ultraman site that he has found UltramanLAH!. The TV talk continues with discussion on Doctor Who, and it's spinoffs Torchwood, and the show with K-9. Battlestar Galactica is discussed as is it's soon-to-be spinoff Caprica. Brad and Christina share a story about going to the local used book store Book and Music Exchange and picking up the first season of Veronica Mars, and Season 2.0 of BSG.

Geek Cuisine is extra special this time around with some Thornton's Premium Selection chocolates sent to us by Jill Arroway from The Signal podcast.

After getting all sugared up again the crew talks about the upcoming release of Underworld: Evolution on DVD and a few upcoming sci-fi-type cons such as: Motor City Comicon, Wonderfest, and Dragon*Con.

The show begins to wind up with assorted discussion on the podcasting track that was just added to Dragon Con, the movie Army of Darkness, Lost In Space robot replicas, World of Warcraft, and a request for your geek stories.

Glenn gives out the PodCulture mailing address, Brad announces the PodCulture voicemail line, and Christina asks for some email-feedback.

The discussion continues with the adaptation of video games into movies, and Brad and Christina share their take on the movie Slither. As well as review their latest treasure the Aussie version of the Serenity dvd.

Glenn tries to one-up that by showing off his new phone a Cingular 8125.

It's a sugar rush with the "Geek Cuisine" again. This time it's a Yorkie Bar from Nestle.

There's some assorted disscussion on the latest Star Trek movie news.

The show wraps up with a discussion of television addictions. Episode 10 --- Cheese: It Does a Movie Good

It's another mixed bag of topics on this episode! Some of the gang have new (and kinda interesting) jobs and chat about that for a bit.

The gang then discusses various films and DVDs like Slither, Skeleton Man, Night of the Creeps, Shaun of the Dead, Creepshow, White Noise 2, Robo Vampire, and Starship Troopers. They also dive into some TV discussion of Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who.

It's sugar buzz-a-rama when the "Geek Cuisine" starts up. Brad and Christina share the story about going to Jungle Jims to pick up some things for the segmant. This time the team tries an imported regular Kit-Kat and debate the merits of that versus the regular US kind. That leads into a bit of a discussion on English chocolate, and the yumminess of Violet Crumbles. Glenn and Brad wash all the sugary goodness down with a bottle of a Jamacian soda called Ting. The show then wraps up with the announcement of the new PodCulture email addresses.

Christina joins Brad and Glenn in the studio to discuss vast, varied and vital vats of goodness!

DVD and TV discussion included: Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Smallville, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica (both old and new), Taking Lives, Wedding Crashers, V: The Series, V: The Mini Series, V: The Final Battle, King Kong, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr, The Shining (both movie and mini-series), Dune (again both the movie and mini-series), The Fog (old and new) and some other assorted goodies as well.

The Geek Cuisine segment continued with it's running theme; this time showcasing MINT Kit-Kats. The verdict was YUMMY!

The PC gang reviews a DVD that was submitted to them: They Shoot Movies Don't They: The Making of Mirage

The crew talks about the coolest movie they have seen in quite awhile: V for Vendetta and they also talk about some of the casting for that movie as well.

The show wraps up with a hodge-podge discussion that includes the like of: The merits of regular vs special editions, Phantom of the Opera, old shows returning and/or being turned into movies, comic books (Warlord, and Moon Knight), AOL's descision to stream selected episodes of TV online for free, The Dawn and Drew Show, Xbox and Xbox360 and lower prices on TV sets.
