Episode 9: Brought To You By The Letter "V"



Christina joins Brad and Glenn in the studio to discuss vast, varied and vital vats of goodness!

DVD and TV discussion included: Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Smallville, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica (both old and new), Taking Lives, Wedding Crashers, V: The Series, V: The Mini Series, V: The Final Battle, King Kong, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr, The Shining (both movie and mini-series), Dune (again both the movie and mini-series), The Fog (old and new) and some other assorted goodies as well.

The Geek Cuisine segment continued with it's running theme; this time showcasing MINT Kit-Kats. The verdict was YUMMY!

The PC gang reviews a DVD that was submitted to them: They Shoot Movies Don't They: The Making of Mirage

The crew talks about the coolest movie they have seen in quite awhile: V for Vendetta and they also talk about some of the casting for that movie as well.

The show wraps up with a hodge-podge discussion that includes the like of: The merits of regular vs special editions, Phantom of the Opera, old shows returning and/or being turned into movies, comic books (Warlord, and Moon Knight), AOL's descision to stream selected episodes of TV online for free, The Dawn and Drew Show, Xbox and Xbox360 and lower prices on TV sets.

Musical guests for this episode were: The Bedlam Bards with the song Theme Song Parody from their new Firefly and Serenity tribute CD titled On The Drift

Episode 8 --- Fabulous Fan Films and Fun



Extra-sized show tonight! The guys are joined in-studio by the almost quiet Christina. Brad rants about US Airways. The guys discuss various DVDs that they have been watching (Tru Calling, Smallville, Buffy, Stargate Atlantis, The Flash) The "Geek Cuisine" segment showcases Orange Creme Kit-Kats. Then the guys dive right on into the main show subject: Fan Films! The guys discuss what they are, give examples of different types, where to find them, and then take a look at a few. (Mosquito, Star Trek: New Voyages & Excalibur, Red vs Blue) Then the guys REALLY show their geek-cred by discussing and telling stories about some of the fan-films that they have show over the years, and the roles that they played in them. They wrap up with a request for email, a visit to the PodCulture Forums at the Bluegrass Browncoats website, and some votes at Podcast Alley, Podcast Pickle and iTunes.
