Looking for website help....

Hello Listeners!

As you all can prob tell from the look of the ol PodCulture site here, I'm not exactly tech savy. Does anyone out there know of an easy (as in REALLY damn easy) way to host, format, and flat-out redesign a website/blog? What I am lookig for is something akin to a combination of the following two websites: Bluegrass Browncoats and Wingin' It . If anyone know of anything PLEASE let me know OK? I really want to make the PodCulture site interesting and a place we could all have some fun with.

Peace,
Brad

I use Blogger ... it's free and they'll host for you or redirect to your url.

I find them pretty easy, they have their own layouts but at the same time they're completely customizable.

I'm not very talented at this stuff but if you need some help with this let me know, I'll gladly assist in any way I can :)

I'm trying to set something up that sort of a cross between the BluegrassBrowncoats.net website and the Wingin' It website. I haven't seen a templete yet that comes close.

Wingin' It is built on WordPress, I think. You can get a free blog there, or download the software for free and run it on your own host.

great, but you see....I'm stupid! I know nothing about setting that stuff up, and tweaking it to look good. (ala Wingin It)

Are you looking for a setup that includes a forum? That might be a bit tricky but there are free forums (ezboard) that you could link to your blog.

The "winging it" and Bluegrass lay outs are pretty simple 3 column ones with custom banners. If Blogger doesn't have one that totally suits you it should be easy enough to modify to your liking (again, I'm offering to assist). Color schemes and side bar items can all be edited to satisfy your needs. At work I have a link to a great resource for CSS layouts that could also be helpful.

No, don't need a forum (for now anyhow) The forum we have over at the BGBC site works just fine. Yeah the editing of CSS, tweaking layouts, and customizing headers/banners is what I have problems with. (all that code just gives me a headache).

Well I took a look at blogger and podculture.blogspot.com was taken (I'm guessing by you) I took podculturedotnet.blogspot.com and I'll play around with the css in the next couple of days and see if I can give you the 3col css layout in that color scheme you chose. The stuff gives me a bit of a headache too but I think I must be a masochist 'cause I kinda like it :)

LOL ... I do have bunnies ... lots and lots of em in my backyard LOL

It's OK, I don't need your password .. I took the same layout as you so I'll just mess around on "my podculture" site and if I get it to look OK I'll just send you the stuff to cut and paste into your template.

I seem to have gotten the 3col layout down it seems to work in Firefox and IE : http://podculturedotnet.blogspot.com ... take a look ... I've got a "testing" post up that I think you might appreciate ;)

I couldn't snag your banner from your website for some reason so if you give me the url of the actual image I'll be able to put that up.

The colors can be changes to your liking just let me know what you want if you want something changed.

I'll work on moving the links and stuff over as the day goes on. Let me know if you want to add things or move them.

You can e-mail me directly at anyabalazs AT g mail DOT com ... yeah I know that's a crazy way to write and addy but I just don't want some bot to come by and start sending me even more junk mail

I don't blame you on the odd posting of the email....goid knows there's enough spam bots out there. You should see what I get in the podculture domain's spam folders! I apperciate your help with all this, and here is the url for one of our banners:
